One of my favorite holiday items this year were advent calendars. They are something that I have never had before. I have enjoyed them so much! This year I tried the Tanya Burr Cosmetics advent calendar, which I previously made a post about. As I looked around, I noticed that Target had created a beauty advent calendar too. I wanted share what was inside with you.
I was surprised to see that Target had made an affordable beauty advent calendar. With a price of $15, I had to give it a try. Every product is unique and different, so there is a variety of products and brands inside. One of my favorite things about the calendar is the information inside the doors. I thought that was an amazing idea, because it makes the surprise factor more interactive. With further ado, here are the products and their descriptions in the Target 2017 beauty advent calendar.
1. Maybelline Great Lash
Keep mascara in your carry-on. A little touch-up is all it takes to look alive and alert when you hop off the plane.
2. E.L.F. Lip Exfoliator
Apply in a circular motion. Remove gently with a cotton pad, then finish with lip balm.
3. HASK Argan Oil
This miracle oil boosts shine, helps repair damage and keeps frizz under control.
4. Acure Eye Cream
You’ll be looking bright-eyed and bushy-tailed all season long, thanks to organic chlorella and edelweiss extract that fights dark circles and fine lines.
5. Pixi Glow Tonic
So long, dull winter skin. This “miracle in a bottle” gently exfoliates for a radiant complexion.
6. Vichy Mineral 89 Face Moisturizer
Mineral rich water and hyaluronic acid help fight signs of aging caused by stress, pollution and fatigue so you (and your skin) can relax.
7. NYX Bright Idea Illuminating Stick
Creamy highlighter goes on smooth for instant shimmer and a hint of color.
8. Nexxus New York Salon Care Humectress Ultimate Moisture Protein Complex Intensely Hydrating Masque
Made with glycerin to bind moisture to hair, this in-shower treatment helps reverse heat and chemical damage and focuses on the spots that need it most.
TIP: No time to mask? Multitask. Just apply it before yoga or binge watching your favorite show, then rinse.
9. Honest Beauty Everything Organic Facial Oil
This USDA- certified organic is packed with fatty acids, vitamins and antioxidants to replenish moisture for younger- looking skin.
TRICK: Dad onto cheekbones for a natural, dewy highlighter.
10. Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge
Use damp or dry to blend hard-to-reach places and create a flawless finish for foundation or cream blush.
TIP: Instead of water, dampen sponge with beauty water to keep skin looking extra dewy.
11. Eylure False Eyelashes Naturals No. 031
First time using falsies? These give you that extra definition while still looking natural, and are so lightweight you’ll forget’ em.
Psst! They’re reusable. Here’s to getting the most out of your holiday party look.
12. Pacifica Sea Foam Complete Face Wash
Wash your cares (and makeup, dirt and oil) away with this 100% vegan blend of coconut water, sea water and sea antioxidants.
I thought Target did a great job on this advent calendar. Every product performs a different task. There is a good combination of all natural, affordable, and known and unknown brands. I think the idea to create descriptions as well as tips is very useful. They went in with the intention that consumers had never used the products before, so that allowed for them to provide the best advice. I have used other products from some of the brands that were included, but I have not tried these products. I am excited to give them a go!
I hope you have enjoyed this post! I hope you have found this information helpful or at least found a product you would like to try. This month has flew by. Have a great rest of 2017 and Happy Holidays!
