I know I’ve said it a thousand times, but hopefully once more won’t hurt. Music is one of my passions and loves of life. From listening to a song to taking a class on music composition to learning how the industry works, I am just curious. Like millions of people out there, listening and discovering new music is one of my favorite things to do. I figured why not have a place here where we can do just that! Here are some songs I have been loving:
Take Yourself Home Troye Sivan
If you know me, you know I love Troye Sivan. He was my artist of the decade on Spotify. He’s amazing just like this song. It has the Troye feel and the lyrics are so real. He is calling himself and me out right now. He’s right… you take yourself home if you are going to play games. Nevertheless, the ending is so fun. It makes you want to dance the night away.
Fallin Alina Baraz
Now you guys, she is incredible! You have to give her a listen if you haven’t, which I am sure you have. I love her voice and style. This song is a great example. It flows and the beat is almost like a dream. Her lyrics are amazing asking herself the question why she keeps coming back.
Yellow Hearts Ant Saunder
This song got stuck in my head the very first time I heard it. I love the beat and flow. His voice sounds amazing on top. The song makes me want to dance and I love singing the back vocals.
Your Love (Déjà Vu) Glass Animals
This song is everything!! The instrumentation alone is something serious. The lyrics by themselves are incredible. Together, it’s a master piece. Love the song… makes me want to dance and be just a little sassy.
Believe It PARTYNEXTDOOR and Rihanna
The queen is back! I literally screamed when I first saw it and it is a collaboration with PARTYNEXTDOOR. Yes… this is exactly what we needed. This song is a dance jam. Love the flow and they both sound amazing. Loved the harmonization and all the vocal layers. The lyrics are so good.
The Recipe SiR
For starters, if you have not heard this album. Then you need to add it to your list because it’s amazing. This is one of my favorite songs from it. The instrumentation and flow feel so good. The saxophone and horns singing some of those back vocals is everything. The lyrics are so real… sometimes it’s just not working and that’s okay.
