Hey, welcome back to my page. I wanted to switch it up and share more of my merchandising journey. For this post, I am taking you back to August to talk about the summer 3 floor-set. Typically, we do floor-set towards the end of the month. We were soaking in those warm days and starting to prepare for the fall vibes to come.
As a store, we had a lot going on around the time of this floor-set. It was summer, so people were on vacations. Also, some of our brand ambassadors started getting ready to go back to school, so we had some availability changes. For this set, we had some new people join. Therefore, we had some additional training. Luckily, there was not a ton of newness product wise. We were just trying to sell through all of the summer inventory to get ready for holiday. Also, it was the last major installment for the Live Your Life campaign. The challenge was blending the summer product with the new fall product. American Eagle heavily invested in sweaters this year, so that was a lot of the product newness.
Below I attached some photos. They include both floor-set and clearance. We were not quite finished when I took the photos. We definitely had some opportunity with execution. I did want to capture the general ideas and moments to share. We were working to the end to finish everything for this set.
