World of Dance Favorite Performances
In recent years, I have not been watching a lot of tv. Honestly, I think that needs to change. Over the summer, I decided to start watching World of Dance.
In the beginning, I chose to watch the show, because I knew two YouTube dancers that I watch were going to be on the show. As the show progressed, it reminded me of how much I love dance. All of the dancers on the show are incredible, so it was not hard to get hooked! The final premieres tonight. As I wait to see who will win, I thought I would share some of my favorite performances from this season. Here are 10 of favorite performances from season 2:
1. Sean Lew and Kaycee Rice: Qualifiers
I have been watching Sean and Kaycee for a while. I enjoy watching their dance videos. When I heard they were going to be on the show, I had to watch to it. Like all their performances, this one is amazing. They are dancing blindfolded! They are in sync and together. I feel like I felt every emotion in that performance.
2. BDash and Konkrete: Duels
I was sad when they left the competition. They are amazing dancers. Through their dance, they tell great stories. This performance was no different. The story here included a clown, which was played perfectly. My eyes stayed on them the whole time. I loved the performance. I was blown away.
3. Michael Dameski: Divisional
I have enjoyed all of his performances so far, but this routine is on another level. There is so much power and mystery. When he dances, it is crisp and purposeful. The ending was incredible! If you watch it, you can see that everyone felt the intensity of that ending.
4. Jaxon Willard: The Cut
I think he is amazing. In the beginning, he did some great emotional performances. Out of them all, this one is my favorite. I loved watching this side of him. It was great to see that power in this performance and that scream in the middle was amazing.
5. The Lab N.E.R.D.’s Lemon: Divisional
All I can say is that I wish I danced as good as any one of them. They are incredible! This school routine was perfect. I think it played to all of their strengths. They are so in sync and I loved the props.
6. Poreotics A Thousand Miles: The Cut
This performance was hilarious. I loved how all of the themes were not really related, but somehow worked together perfectly. I think that has a lot to do with the music, which was mixed well. All the images they created looked incredible. They were very in sync and the dance left you feeling so happy inside.
7. Karen y Ricardo: The Cut
This dance was so amazing! The emotional tension was radiating throughout the dance. The song was perfect. They are incredible dancers. From the tricks to the turns, they are just amazing.
8. Charity and Andres: The Duels
This performance deserved all the 100s!! The acting and emotion in this dance were perfect. They dance together perfect. Every aspect of this dance was perfect.
9. Fabulous Sisters: The Duels
I have loved watching them throughout this competition. Their images are incredible! They are all great dancers with a lot of power and emotion. I have to agree with something Derek Hough said during the show. He said that they have the ability to make simple moves look complex. It is true that they do and it adds to the intensity and power their routines have.
10. Sean Lew and Kaycee: Divisional
I know they are on here twice, but I think they are amazing. I loved this performance so much that I had to include it. The emotion was great throughout this dance. I love the set design and the water at the end. It is paired well with the song and moves.
(If you wanted to see another great performance by them. I would suggest checking out Brother on Sean Lew’s channel. It is a must watch.)
Of course, there were many other amazing performances from this season. These are the first ten that came to mind. All of the ones that I listed and others can be found on World of Dance’s YouTube page. I would suggest checking them out.
Thanks so much for reading my post! Have an amazing day!
