Going Live: Missy Elliott

Last summer, I got to see the Out of This World – The Missy Elliott Experience at Ball Arena in Denver, CO. What an incredible moment in my life! Missy was playing no games. She had performances from Timbaland, Ciara, and Busta Rhymes. She closed out the show. She had the best outfits. The dancers were amazing. She flew through the crowd. At the end, she brought out everyone for a grand finale. The stage was incredible. Below I included two videos of them changing the stage from Ciara to Missy. I know it is niche, but I always enjoy watching the people prepare the stage for the next act. Similarly, the energy everyone brought made every moment special. It was truly seeing legend after legend after legend. When I think about my childhood and growing up, this was everything I was listening to at home and on the radio. It takes me back to watching videos on MTV. That time was so special for music especially Black music. This show encompassed everything I love about that time. It was truly an honor to see each of them perform in their element. I was fan-girling the whole time. I was screaming every word. I could not contain my excitement. I was even buzzing the next day.
I did decide to go to this show at the last minute. I was debating it for a while. I did not have the best seat, but it was at the front of a section. It was a good price. I am so happy that I chose to spoil myself with seeing this show. It was worth every penny. This will go down as one of the best shows I have ever seen.
As you may have guessed, I did not capture a ton of content from this show as I was screaming and dancing the whole time. I did manage to get a couple of videos. I apologize for the quality. I still wanted to share in order to capture the moment. Enjoy!
