Crowded Room Selena Gomez and 6LACK
Earlier this year, Selena released her new album, Rare. This is one of my favorite tracks from the album. I loved it so much because I felt like she took some risks in this song and they paid off! I love the fluctuation between high and low chords throughout. The lyrics are amazing. They compliment the beat perfectly. Of course, 6LACK’s verse was great too!
Was Dat J.Blaze, Lex Lu
I discovered this song through a dance video on YouTube. I was watching Delaney Glazer, one of my favorite YouTube dancers, perform it in a class. After watching it, this song was stuck in my head for two weeks. It’s because the song pulls you into the beat, so you cannot help but dance when you hear it come on. Just give it a listen and you’ll see what I mean.
Pinky Ring Ne-Yo, O.T. Genasis
If you know me, you know I love some Ne-Yo. He is one of my favorite artists and I have been listening to him since I can remember truly. This song is so fun. I love the beat and tempo. It makes me want to dance instantly. The lyrics are classic Ne-Yo.
Heart on Ice Rod Wave
To me, this is one of the classic R&B vibes. The slow intro with the instrument build up to the introduction of the lyrics. The lyrics touch your soul. This might be a stretch, but it gives me similar feels to Ice Box by Omarion, which is everything. I might just be a sucker for some piano chords, but it’s amazing.
Bang! AJR
One of my friends showed me this song when it first came out and I was obsessed on the first listen. I love the instrumentation and feel throughout. They always pick fun instruments and sounds to create with. Speaking of instrumentation, I like how it answers the lyrics throughout. Also, the lyrics and extra effects are incredible.
Lo Nuestro Vale Mas Jesse & Joy
Jesse & Joy is one of my favorite Latin artists to listen to. This is one of their singles they released earlier this year and I love it. Joy’s voice is beautiful as always. I love the flow and instrumentation throughout. The guitar always there to compliment the vocals. If you are into latin music, you should definitely give them a listen.
