Hello, welcome back to my site!
For today, I wanted to share some art projects I have been working on. One of my favorite things to do has always been arts and crafts. This year I decided that I wanted to try new creative projects that I had never done before. Here are some of the projects I ended up making.
1. Shadow Box Craft
To begin, I had the idea for this project a couple years ago, but I did not have all of the things I needed to accomplish it. Once I collected everything I needed, I made this shadow box to honor my family that has passed on. I was able to utilize flowers I saved from family memorials as well as leaves I collected and preserved from outside walking Sora and Lex. Overall, it turned out better than I imagined. I mostly used hot glue for this project and it has held up nicely. What better way to highlight family than with Disney quotes.
2. Mixed Media Art #1
I love learning how to create different forms of art. One day I decided I needed some inspiration. I ended up creating this based on images that inspired me. After cutting out things that caught my eye, I merged them together to make this piece. What I like most about this is the reminder that everything happens for a reason and it is all apart of the journey. I need to be reminded of that sometimes, so I will look to this piece whenever I forget.
3. Mixed Media Art #2
Lastly, this artwork is a vision board for my career. I spent the last year relearning what work-life balance meant. As a result, I decided to get my prioritizes in order, so I can really determine what projects I want to put my energy towards. Essentially, these are my career goals that I want to accomplish in the next few years. Similar to the last piece, these images inspire me career wise. They help me to identify my short and long-term goals. Also, I tried to put some realistic challenges, like the face in the top right, because it is inevitable that some days are not going to go as planned. It is how you overcome those challenges that really counts.

This is definitely something I wanted to change going forward, because being creative is relaxing and fulfilling for me. It is nice having different ways to express yourself.
