First trip to Las Vegas

Advertisements

Welcome back to my site. I wanted to share a travel adventure that I got to have with a new best friend. Previously, I worked at Altar’d State in Denver, Colorado. At this location, I met my best friend, Jen. We clicked right from the beginning. Naturally, when she asked if I wanted to go with her to Vegas for a birthday trip, I said, “Absolutely!” Here’s what we got up to.

To start, I ended up flying with Jen. Then, her brother met us halfway through the trip. Jen is apart of a rewards program, so she earned some free rooms. Jen and I’s room was at The MGM Grand. In addition, we had some other work friends going to Vegas at the same time. That gave us the opportunity to explore some with them.

The first night we met up with our other work friends, who were staying at Caesar’s Palace. We got dinner at Nobu in Caesar’s Palace. I attached some pictures of the food below. It was pricey, but the food was amazing. We each got something different and let everyone try it. It was cool getting to taste so many different foods. Afterwards, we walked through downtown. We went past the Fountains of Bellagio, Paris, and stopped at the Cosmopolitan. There we tried one of their famous drinks with the flower in it. The taste was unique for sure. It’s pictured below too. After we finished, Jen and I walked back to our hotel.

The next day, Jen and I started at the pool. I was so hype about it. It had been awhile since I went swimming. Plus, the playlist was great. We spent the morning relaxing. Then, we got snacks, showered, and ready for dinner. We finished getting ready early, so we went to the Forum Shops at Caesar’s Palace. We walked around and shopped a little. Then, we met up with our friends to eat at El Sol at the Forum Shops. The food was good. I liked the salsa. Afterwards, we went to a rooftop bar and danced the night away.

The third day, Jen and I went back to the pool first thing. We sat out and relaxed by the water. We went down the lazy river a couple of times. Jen’s brother joined us for a little bit. We were down there for so long we even got lunch at the pool bar. Eventually, we called it. After showering and getting ready, we met up with Jen’s brother for dinner. Then, Jen and I went to see the Jonas Brothers concert! I will share more on that below. It was a great surprise that made my whole year.

On the fourth day, Jen and I began our day at, you guessed it, the pool. We were truly soaking in all of the sun and warmth. That night, we went to Fremont Street with Jen’s brother, Tauti, who we worked with at Altar’d State, and Tauti’s best friend. Every summer Vegas has free concerts on Fremont Street. We got to see Taking Back Sunday, which was very cool! A fun blast from the past. After walking the strip, we got some donuts and headed back to the hotel.

It was finally our last day. Jen and I met up with her brother. We walked the strip, went to the Bellagio, and got food before we had to head to the airport to fly back to Denver. Although her brother had a different flight coming up, he flew back with us. It made traveling a lot easier. While we were waiting at the airport, we made plans for our next adventure. To conclude, the trip was incredible! It was honestly so refreshing to have no drama and just be able to relax. Jen is definitely one of my new travel buddies. I cannot wait to go on more adventures with her!

Jonas Brothers Concert with Lawrence and Matt Rife:

Since Jen is apart of a rewards program, we were able to get free tickets to see a show at our resort. It happened to be the Jonas Brothers: Five Albums in One Tour playing at the MGM Grand. OMG, I was so excited! I actually already had tickets to the show in Denver, CO. I got to see the show twice in 1 week, which made my year truly. I did not record a lot of content because I was singing and dancing. I did want to share a few short videos for the memories. Those are attached below.
