Hello, welcome back to my page! It is December 24th. This month has flew by. I wanted to start by saying thank you. I appreciate you joining me all month. It has been so fun posting everyday. It was a great challenge for me. For the last day, I thought I would wrap up with some more Christmas jams. I’m going to be catching a flight after work, so I needed to make sure my playlist was ready.
1. Do You Hear What I Hear? by Bing Crosby
First, we have a Christmas classic. I am sure you have heard this version at some point, because it is always playing in stores. Honestly, it feels so vintage to me. I love the instrumentation. The percussion holding down the beat with different instruments accenting throughout. The choir singing with the instruments perfectly. Of course, Bing Crosby’s vocals are amazing. I always love harmonizing with him.

2. This Christmas by Chris Brown
From the start, this song gives you all the feels. The acapella at the beginning is everything with the subtle addition of instruments. Then, the piano comes in to establish the beat. I like the jazz and R&B vibes throughout. It makes it feel like church. The instruments solo in the middle is beautiful. Lastly, you have to sing the note at the end. Chris’s riff is everything!

3. Believe by Josh Groban
As y’all know, I love the Polar Express. This song plays in the credits at the end of film. It is truly magic. I love the lyrics and the story this song tells. I love how the bells sing throughout with the vocals. I love the subtle percussion and instrumentation in the background. I always enjoy singing this song at the end. Similar to Do You Hear What I Hear, I enjoy getting to practice harmonizing with the lower pitches.

4. All I Want is You by Justin Bieber
This song is truly one of my favorite songs on Justin’s Christmas album. It puts a nice spin on a classic. I like the originality of the song. I love the intro with the twist at the beginning. The lyrics are amazing. Of course, Justin sounds incredible. The harmonization is great throughout. When the beat comes in during the chorus, it completes the moment.

5. Grown Up Christmas List by Pentatonix, Kelly Clarkson
The Christmas legends are back with Kelly Clarkson to give us such a beautiful cover of this song. The harmonization in the entire song is incredible. The back vocals while Kelly is singing at the beginning is amazing. I love the tempo and feel of the song. Something I always enjoy about Pentatonix is how the talent is showcased. The way they arrange their pieces is so special and signature to them. I always love trying to find my own note as I sing along with them.

6. The Polar Express by Tom Hanks
Like I mentioned, I love The Polar Express. I enjoy this song because it sets up the entire movie. With the conductor on lead vocals and the kids on back vocals, it allows us to explore the train and understand the story. Also, I love the instrumentation throughout this song. It is so fun and light. The instruments truly sing and bring the film to life. I got to play this song in middle school for our Christmas recital. It is a memory I will never forget. I loved getting to play all of the light and airy notes on top since I play flute.
