Welcome back to my page! A lot of things have changed this year for me in the world of American Eagle. Let’s start at the beginning.
The last week of 2024, I started my new merchandising team leader position at Denver Premium Outlets in Thornton, Colorado. I was able to work with some familiar faces and learn a ton of new things. Denver Premium Outlets is the highest volume store in our district. My district leader asked if I would be willing to transfer in order to assist this store with streamlining processes and organization. Of course, with the persuasion of a pay raise, I was happy to take on the challenge. I said goodbye to my Cherry Creek team and was on my way.
To begin 2025, the company started with the Spring 1 floor-set that went live mid January. This was my first time mapping and doing floor-set in this store. What a fun learning process. This location is a factory outlet store versus my old store which is mainline. To further explain, mainline carries more trendy styles and collaborations with other brands. Whereas, factory stores are going to have more staple items, expanded clearance sections, and deeper promotions. For me, it was interesting getting to see factory only product as well as learn about the different strategies factory stores use to drive business. Additionally, I had great support from the store and sales leader. They actually trained me my first two weeks when I started at American Eagle. They assisted with floor-set all week. Not only were we able to get through this set smoothly, but we also finished on time. That is always a win. I wanted to share some photos I captured during the floor-set process. Windows: Denver Premium Outlets has a ton of mannequins up front since the store is lined with windows. Luckily, the marketing generally stays the same, so you only have to change the mannequins and promo.
