Renaissance Fair

Hey, welcome back to my site! I have a few posts to catch up on, so we are going to jump right in.

In summer of 2024, I had the opportunity to go to the Renaissance Festival. I went with some friends as part of a birthday weekend. What an event! The experience begun before we even arrived, because we had to wear clothes that fit the times. After some research on Pinterest, I went to my closet and looked to see what I had. I was excited to wear my new kimono that I recently bought. I honestly had no reason to buy it other than it was on clearance. I was happy to get some use out of it. I decided to go for a fairy look, since the kimono would fit the vibe. I went with a black romper underneath, because I knew I wanted to do some fun makeup. When I was adding jewelry, I decided to add some gold charms to my braids. I am still in my era of perfecting braids, so I wanted to jazz them up. To complete the look, a friend let me borrow some wings she had. They took this outfit to the next level. Below, I attached a photo if you wanted to check out the final look.

To continue, the drive was smooth. It was less than 2 hours. I enjoyed looking at all of the scenery on the way since I was not driving. Upon arrival, we walked around the grounds. I even bought a bamboo flute, which was incredible. It came with care instructions and has a rich sound. Then, we watched a duel reenactment, which was cool. The weather was great for it and everyone was cheering. Afterwards, we walked more of the grounds. We checked out some shops selling jewelry and clothing. I even got a gold hair piece. It is pictured below towards the end. Also, we got some food. Of course, I had a turkey leg, steak on a stake, and funnel cake. Once we finished eating, it was starting to get hot. We decided to call it a day and drive back home.

All in all, it was a great experience! It was something I never thought I would do. I was open and loved participating. It worked out. I enjoyed being out of my element.

Thank you for checking out my post. Let me know in the comments an experience you did not expect to enjoy. I hope you are having a wonderful day. I will see you soon with something new!
