Summer music favorites Part 2

Of course, I had to make a part 2, because I have to many favorites. Basically, these are my favorite songs from July and August. There were a lot of amazing songs released this summer. These artists were on their a-game this year bringing all the hits. I think the awards shows are going to be very interesting this go-round. Nonetheless, here are some more of my favorites.

1. Despacito by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee

This is without a doubt the song of summer 2017. It was number 1 in the charts for weeks and for good reason. This song is so amazing! Interestingly, I fell in love with this song when I got back home from Spain instead of while I was there. I do not know what is wrong with me, but if anything, it helped me continue my Spanish. From the Spanish guitar to the vocals, this song is amazing! Both the original and remix with Justin Bieber are perfection. The beat, instrumentation, and tempo work well together. Every time I hear this song, I want to dance. The riff that Luis does towards the end, right before he ends the song is incredible.

2. Unforgettable by French Montana and Swae Lee

What I love most about this song is the vibe. It is so relaxed, but it makes me want to dance. It is the perfection combination. I thought the music video was interesting. I love the percussion that is implemented throughout the song.

3. Told you so by Paramore

I have to say that I like the vibe of the whole album. They did an amazing job on it. I love the slightly relaxed vibe throughout this song. Also, I like the contrast of tempos and rhythms in the song. For example, the transition between the verse and chorus is cool. Of course, there is an amazing guitar solo after the bridge.

4. Normal Girl and Love Galore SZA

I love SZA’s album. It was amazing! Of course, she is gorgeous. I really like her vibe. I had a hard time deciding what song I enjoyed the most off the album. Although I love all of them, I knew I had to narrow them down. I decided to share two. Most people have heard Love Galore, because it plays on the radio. Everything is great about the song from the vocals to the beat. Also, I wanted to pick a song that has not been played on the radio. That song is Normal Girl, because I think the lyrics are interesting. I would recommend.

5. Wild Thoughts by DJ Khaled, Rihanna, and Bryson Tiller

I have to say that DJ Khaled has been on his a-game this summer. He has been releasing jam after jam. This song is no exception. Bryson Tiller sounds amazing. Honestly, any song that Rihanna is in is already more amazing.  Once again, I like the vibe. The beat is so relaxed. The vocals are great. Also, I like how the guitar sings the chorus throughout the song. It makes the song more interesting.

6. Humble by Kendrick Lamar

Kendrick’s whole album is amazing. Honestly, I do not except anything less than perfection, because he is so great. I love the beat. I think the lyrics of this song are interesting. I always tend to read more into his lyrics, because there is always something to discover.

7. Worth it (Perfect) by Superfruit

Now, I love me some Superfruit. They made their debut album. At the time, Part 1 was only out. Of course, the whole album is amazing, so you should check it out!! They are so talented and gorgeous. Best of all, they are releasing music videos for every single song. The music video for this one is amazing! Although I always listen to the whole album, I always find myself listening to this song a lot. I figured that it was my favorite from Part 1. Everything from the vocals to the beat is amazing. They harmonize together perfectly. I love the lyrics and the meaning behind them.

8. Sorry Not Sorry by Demi Lovato

Demi Lovato has been one of my favorite humans forever! I loved this song over the summer! She recently released her album and it is amazing, so I would highly recommend checking that out, if you have not already. Of course, this is another Demi anthem. She brings all the sass, and I love it. She keeps it real all throughout this song and I except nothing less. I love the simplicity of the music video. It looked like it was a lot of fun to make. Now, I have a suggestion for you. I want you to listen to this song in a car, because the bass when the chorus drops is amazing! Any song with a great bass line that is played in a car is already taken to another level. You will be turnt in a matter of seconds.

Here are the rest of my summer jams. I loved making this post, so I will probably do more of theses in the future. I hope you enjoyed it and I always love discovering new music, so you are more than welcome to leave suggestions, so I can check them out.

I hope you have a wonderful day! Thanks for reading!
