Quotes for Thought

As y’all know, I enjoy a good quote. I think quotes are a great tool to use. Sometimes, you can forget about what is most important. For me, quotes are little reminders that keep me track. Whenever I feel myself drifting, I know I can read a quote and it will provide me with the dose of reality that I am missing.

We are in our third month of 2018. I have to say that it has already been a challenging, but good year so far. Even this early in the year, I thought it would be nice to do a little self reflection. There are some things that will take your entire life to figure out. Here are a couple reminders to keep you and me on track.

“You must look within for value, but must look beyond for perspective.” -Denis Waitley

“My childhood memories are amazing; I had freedom in every way – but I see everything from a different perspective now that I live outside.” -Ana de Armas

“I think the greatest illusion we have is that denial protects us. It’s actually the biggest distortion and lie. In fact, staying asleep is what’s killing us.” -Eve Ensler

“Denial helps us to pace our feelings of grief. There is a grace in denial. It is nature’s way of letting in only as much as we can handle.” -Elisabeth Kubler-Ross

“Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.” -President Barack Obama

Hopefully, you read a quote that was relatable and/or helpful in some way. I feel like this list of quotes was pretty random; with different themes running throughout. People are never just dealing with one problem, so a variety is always good.

Thanks so much for reading! I hope you purse all the things that you dream of doing.
