Quotes to Keep You Sane

Long time no see! It has been ages since I was able to make a post. This past month and a half has been a crazy one. For my first post back, I wanted to post a Haley classic and do a quotes post.

Overall, this year has really opened my eyes to a lot of different things. I have discovered things about myself as well as all the people around me. Now, I can begin to see why I needed each and every experience. For me, this series of quotes are lessons that I have learned about life and myself. As we enter into the second half of 2018, these are quotes that I will revisit to remember where I am and need to go.

1. “Loneliness expresses the pain of being alone and solitude expresses the glory of being alone.” ~Paul Tillich

2. “I only go out to get me a fresh appetite for being alone.” ~Lord Byron

3. “I’m fiercely independent, but I’m also terrified of being alone.” ~Adam Levine

4. “I finally faced the fact that it isn’t a crime not having friends. Being alone means you have fewer problems.” ~Whitney Houston

5. “There is an immeasurable distance between late and too late.” ~Og Mandino

6. “Sometimes being a friend means mastering the art of timing. There is a time for silence. A time to let go and allow people to hurl themselves into their own destiny. And a time to prepare to pick up the pieces when it’s all over.” ~Octavia Butler

7. “Letting go helps us to live in a more peaceful state of mind and helps restore our balance. It allows others to be responsible for themselves and for us to take our hands off situations that do not belong to us. This frees us from unnecessary stress.” ~Melody Beattie

8. “As you become aware of what has robbed you of the purity of an innocent mind, a clear heart and a strong body, you will be deeply served by letting go of those familiar limitations.” ~Debbie Ford

9. “All the art of living lies in a fine mingling of letting go and holding on.” ~Havelock Ellis

10. “I can’t stand confrontation, which maybe is a character flaw. But having said that, I do feel like when I do get upset – which is rare, as my husband and family would say – I have a hard time letting go.” ~Anna Faris

11. “He who does not understand your silence will probably not understand your words.” ~Elbert Hubbard

12. “The very least you can do in your life is to figure out what you hope for. And the most you can do is live inside that hope. Not admire it from a distance but live right in it, under its roof.” ~Barbara Kingsolver

Over time, I have began to see that all the things they say about growing up are true. Honestly, it is a matter of accepting life for what it is and trying to make the best situation possible. I know nothing happens over night, but we are going to make it through together. To conclude, I hope that you were able to relate to one of these quotes. I hope for happy moments and great times. I will talk to you soon!
