When the covid restrictions started being lifted, my friend, Kristen, and I decided to go on a little weekend adventure to Atlanta, Georgia. On a mission to go to one place, Ikea, we thought why not make it a whole weekend. As safely as possible, we made our way to see what Atlanta had in store.
Day 1:
After our two hour drive, we arrived at Ikea. We had never been there before, so we were excited to get the full experience. Naturally, we bought so many incredible things and lived out our many fantasies in those beautiful rooms. Since being back, I have already started another list for when we decide to return. After finishing our Ikea adventure, we checked into the hotel. Like any college student, I had to finish a discussion board before we left to do anything else.
With my grade secured, we headed down to Piedmont Park and got some food at Willy’s Mexicana. This place was incredible. It was served from a food truck, so we sat outside enjoying our meal. I got a burrito with chips and salsa. Then, we walked around the park. Eventually, we rode scooters, which was so fun. Later on, we drove around downtown until we settled on a pub for dinner. After some food and drinks, we headed back to the hotel.
Day 2:
The next morning, we started our day like most people in America do with a Starbuck’s coffee. The only catch is we ended up going to the Starbuck’s Reserve in Midtown, which was exciting. I did not even know there was such a thing. We each tried something new from their special menu. I got an iced dark hot chocolate. Then, we headed to the Atlanta Botanical Garden. Just our luck, it rained the entire time we were there. We figured we had already bought tickets, so why not. Also, I think we went a little too early, because all of the flowers had not started blooming. Although, the ones we did see were a beautiful sight.
Of course, we could not go to Atlanta without doing a little shopping. We headed over to the Lenox Mall to get a couple of things. I will be featuring a few of those products in a post coming soon, so look out for that. With bags in hand and stomaches full from California Pizza Kitchen, we started our journey back home.
Before the end of the trip, we stopped at an outlet mall that we saw from the interstate. It actually worked out perfectly. At the Lenox Mall, I treated myself and got a Coach wallet. *No one tell my Mom I paid full price.* At this outlet mall, they had a Coach outlet store. The heavens aligned and I was able to find a matching purse to my wallet on sale! It was one of the best finds. With all of our goodies in hand, we finished our trip home.
Thank you so much for checking out my photos and travel adventures. As everyone begins to travel more, be safe and do something fun just for you. Trust me, you deserve it.
I hope you have an incredible day. I will see you soon with something new!
