Going Live: The Lion King Musical
For the past few years, my family has been switching up our Christmas presents. One of those ideas was to do a gift that is an experience or adventure that everyone can attend. For Christmas two years ago, our family present was tickets to see The Lion King Musical downtown Nashville! As a Disney and musical lover, I was so excited when I found out we were seeing this legendary show!
To begin, musicals are definitely more of my Mom and I’s thing versus my Dad and sister’s thing. It was great getting them out of the house to see a Disney classic. We saw the performance downtown Nashville at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center (TPAC). This is a once in a lifetime opportunity, so I had to get one piece of merch. I got a long sleeve sweater with the lion’s head embroidered on the front. It is one of my favorite pieces of clothing now.
As you can imagine, the show was everything. The actors and actresses were incredible! They truly embodied those characters and moments. Their vocals were stunning. The visuals were insane! The creativity that went into the set and prop design is truly outstanding. I had a whole moment when they performed He Lives in You. It took everything I had not to sing along. All in all, the show was better than I could have imagined. I am so honored that I got to see it.
