Glo Skin Modeling Job

Hey, welcome back to my site! I wanted to start today by saying that I hope y’all are chasing your dreams and doing the things that make you happy. Even if you do not know what that is, keep trying new things so you can figure it out. What I am sharing today, I did not even realize how big of a dream it truly was. As previously mentioned, I am signed to Wilhelmina Denver modeling agency. This is the story of the second job that I booked.

To begin, welcome to the brand Glo Skin. This was not a brand I was super familiar with before this shoot. When the casting came through, I looked it up immediately and was praying I could get it. I love makeup and skin care. When I worked at Target, I always wanted to be one of the models pictured in the beauty department. This was the start to a full circle moment. Glo Skin is a clean makeup brand that looks to highlight the natural and beautiful parts of you. For this shoot, I was helping promote their new Oil-free tinted primer with SPF 30. I am the color deep!

For some background, it was a two day shoot. We were working at a warehouse downtown Denver in this really pretty neighborhood. The team from Glo Skin was incredible and so patient. This was a full production. They did hair, makeup, and styling for all of us models. You can see some of the behind the scenes photos below.

As previously mentioned, this was only my second booked job with Wilhelmina Denver. Although I had done smaller roles before, this was definitely a learning curve for me. To be honest, the first day was rough because I had to learn a lot on the spot. Although the day was tough, I went home that night and practiced until I showed up to the shoot the next day. Honestly, that was one of the most humbling and best experiences of my life. Although I knew I was out of my scope, I was able to learn, fail, learn, practice, and then succeed. Even one of the members from the Glo Skin team as well as the photographer commented on the difference of my confidence and execution from day 1 to day 2. That made me feel really great. Ultimately, I wanted to put my best foot forward, so they could get what they needed for their campaign. Going forward, I hope to be in this situation more often. I love the challenge of learning something new as well as building my skills in different arenas. Whenever creativity and work can cross paths, I will always be there because those are the jobs I enjoy the most.

Thank you for reading some of my story! I appreciate you taking the time. Let me know in the comments below about an experience you had that you didn’t realize was a check off of your bucket list. I would love to know.

I hope you are having an incredible day. I will see you soon with something new!
