American Eagle Visuals: Holiday 1 2024

Hello, welcome back to my page. For this post, the holidays have arrived! This was our holiday 1 floor-set back in October. We were fully in Halloween mode and starting to see those first arrivals of Christmas product. Honestly, it was nice to start ramping up, because the store was slow all September and October. The back to school shopping had everyone tapped out.

Like I mentioned, we were starting to get some Christmas product in mostly loungewear. We were selling through our Halloween items. Similarly, we got in some new denim for the fall and winter seasons. We were selling the last few shorts we had left before they went back to the warehouse. If you know me, you know I love the holiday season. Christmas is definitely my favorite time of year. I love getting to do this set, because you start bringing in the holiday colors and feels. Plus, I love fall wear. Fall is one of my favorite seasons to dress. With an increase in sweaters, new denim colors, and outerwear, the temptation to buy everything was high.

For floor-set, I felt confident with the team we had. There were still a lot of brand ambassadors in school, so we did not have all of our players. We were able to train up some new people to help us execute this set. Women’s dominated this set with increased levels of product. We moved women’s clearance into men’s room 3. We ended up doing a dual gender clearance section, so we could have more space for the increase in women’s presentation product. Also, we continued our Red Bull collaboration. Then, American Eagle introduced the Timberland x AE collaboration. Since we are a medium volume store, Tier 2 Men’s, we only got a small selection of the product from the collaboration. It was cool getting to make a moment of it at the center lead. Also, men’s product needed a refresh. It was nice for them to get something new.

Toward’s the back of the store, American Eagle wanted a dual gender loungewear table. Since we took a whole section from men’s for women’s product, we decided to utilize this table mostly for displaced men’s product. Then, we included a small amount of women’s. It was nice being able to expand the men’s footprint back there. Plus, there were a lot of late item arrivals this set. It helped us fill the table, because the rest of women’s product was not going to arrive until the next week anyways.

Overall, it was a fun and challenging set. It is one of the biggest sets of the year. It was nice being able to go into it set up for success. I actually got a little bit of time to plan out this one. We even got to start setting product a little early. Also, we finally got to do some of the mannequins during floor-set. I included some photos of the ones I got to do below.

Denver Premium Outlets

In the midst of doing our floor-set, my part-time merchandise leader and I went to another store, Denver Premium Outlets, to help them do a backroom refresh. Denver Premium Outlets is the biggest volume store in our district. Also, they recently lost a couple of their leaders. Brek and I decided to go over to help. That day, I got to work with their part-time merchandise leader to get the accessories organized and pushed. It took our entire shift, but we did finish it. Plus, we relabeled all of the boxes and filled the store to the rim with product. Being in the backroom is one of my favorite things to do. I was excited to help them get organized, so they could succeed during the holiday season. Below I attached pictures of the end result.

Thanks for checking out my post! Let me know in the comments below if you were excited to start the holidays this year.

I hope you are having a wonderful day. I will see you soon with something new!
