CC’s Antiques Haul
Recently, my friends and I decided to have a day out and go antique shopping. Apparently, there is a bunch around Chattanooga. We got in the car and drove to one we found on Google maps. We had a fun car journey. We listened to all the throwback jams! It made sitting in traffic not so bad. Moving forward, we ended up going to CC’s Antiques. That store looked small on the outside, but it was huge on the inside. I think we ended up being in there for 3 or more hours. They had a lot of amazing items. I ended up spending so much money in there, so I figured why not write a haul post. Here are the things I bought at CC’s Antiques store.

1. Records
Shortly after arriving, I found out that they had tons of records. That made me excited, because I enjoy listening to records as well as decorating with records. Recently, I have seen some cool design ideas that include records as decoration. Now, I have to do something with records in my room, since I am moving soon. I looked through almost every record they had. I got some to decorate with and some to play, because some of the songs on them are amazing. I bought a lot of small ones and a couple big ones. I found some Disney records, so of course I had to buy them. Now, I am so excited to DIY some of these records.

2. Sheet Music
When I was in there, I was thinking about a lot of DIY projects that I can do. When I was looking through the records. I found some sheet music. I thought about doing some canvas art with sheet music on them. I went ahead and got them. Hopefully, I will be able to make some interesting art with them.
3. Comics
This antique shop had so many comics. There were some upstairs and downstairs. They had expensive and inexpensive comics. I got a couple of comics to do some art with. Then, I found some Disney comics, so I had to pick up a couple of those. I got all of them for less than $1 each, so I thought they were a good buy.

4. A Disney Film: Song of the South
I noticed this film hidden behind some books. As soon as I saw it, I could not believe that I was looking at a copy of it. Back in high school, one of my teachers told us the story behind this movie. Essentially, Song of the South was a story that put slavery in a positive light by following the story of a slave. This is where one of Disney’s famous songs Zip a Dee Doo Dah came from. After critics and the public pointed out all the obvious flaws in the film, it was removed from theaters and was discontinued in stores. When I saw this in the store, it was weird, because there are not many copies of this film. One of the employees was telling me about how there was a man who illegally made copies of this film and sold them. He was caught by the Disney corporation and was sued. This was one of the copies that he made and sold. I have no idea why I bought it, but I did. It is still sealed and everything. Honestly, it reminded me of that story in high school so much so that I decided to get it.

5. Disney prints
At the end of our visit, I was walking around looking at the last few items. I found these Disney prints. Immediately, I thought to myself that I had to have them. They look amazing and have a classic feel to them. There were only two prints, so I figured I would get both. Plus, I like them a lot and they were both pretty inexpensive. At that moment, I knew it was time to go before I spent anymore.
Although I ended up spending a lot of money, I loved going antique shopping. I like that you never know what you are going to find just like a treasure hunt. I enjoy Disney and music, so I was happy to find a lot of items that included them. My friends and I have already made plans to go antique shopping again. Hopefully, I can find some more great stuff. Even though, I know I do not need it.
Thanks so much for reading!
