Going Live with H.E.R.
I asked my Mom for a list of people she wanted to see in concert, since she likes going to shows. Concert tickets are an amazing gift. She gave me a list with a good amount of options to choose from. When H.E.R. announced the “Back of My Mind” tour dates, I knew this would be the perfect one. Then, I proposed the idea to my family. They wanted to see her too, so we made it a family excursion.
To begin, the concert was at the First Bank Amphitheater in Franklin, TN. It was my second time going and my family’s first. It is a newer venue. We ended up sitting 2 and 2 because we could have better seats if we sat separately. I sat with my sister, Kelsey. We had the best time!
Opener 1: Guest opener
*I tried to find this performer’s name, but I could not find anything other than the beginning letters in the video. If you know this artist, please drop her name in the comments and I will add it. I think I lost her name in my Spotify search. Overall, I enjoy her vibe and aesthetic. Her songs are beautifully done. Her vocals are exceptional! She has an amazing range. Opener 2: Tone Stith
Tone’s performance was amazing as well. I enjoyed his sound, choreography, and graphics. The dancers were great. His performance reminded me of how Chris Brown entertains: very high energy and fun.
The Main Act:
H.E.R. really put on a performance! First, I loved the stage. It was simple given that it was an outdoor venue. The visuals were beautiful and colorful. Her vocals were stunning. She had the best energy. My favorite was the instrument solos towards the middle of the show. She was going off! I think she ended up playing every instrument on the stage. Also, the crowd’s energy was great. Overall, it was an incredible show! Although I will say, it did take us a long time to get out of the parking lot afterwards. There is only one entrance in and out of the venue, but it was worth it!
