Denver Summer Weekend Adventure 2024

One of my friend’s family came down for the weekend to visit. I was invited to tag along on some of their adventures. Here’s what we got up too.

My friend, Russo, had his family come and visit for the weekend. It was his Mom and Aunt. Then, his cousin actually already lived in Colorado. Upon arrival, he brought his Mom to my job, so I could say hey. I got to meet his Aunt. Of course, they looked around before heading out. At his Mom’s request, I said I would be available for dinner.

That night, we had dinner near Sloan Lake at Edgewater Public Market. I carpooled with Russo, his fiancé, and Mom. Although I do not go to this market often, it is amazing inside. Essentially, it is a food hall that serves different types of food. Also, they have a section of small businesses towards the back. Upon arrival, we met up with his Aunt and cousin. Since it is open seating, everyone had the option to get food where ever and then we met up at a table. I decided to get a pizza. It was pretty good. Afterwards, we went for a walk around Sloan Lake. Then, we called it a night.

The next day, I had to work. I only joined for dinner at Adelitas Cocina y Cantina. Everyone was there except for his cousin. Of course, I got enchiladas con arroz. I always go for that. Honestly, the food was great. The atmosphere was nice as well. The place was packed with people. Luckily, it was not much of a wait.

Early Saturday morning, I met up with all of them at the Denver Biscuit Company. Then, we went to the Denver Botanical Gardens and ended at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. I love those places. I have been to them both multiple times. The Botanical Gardens are so serene and beautiful. The Nature and Science museum has a ton of interactive things throughout and is massive. We started on the bottom floor and continued up until everyone got tired. They had a new feature exhibit all about poisons. It was really cool. After we had an ice cream in the food court, I had to go close at work. The next day, his Mom and Aunt were leaving. I said my goodbyes and got my hugs. Then, I was off. Below, I wanted to share some photos from the weekend. I honestly did not capture too much since I was hanging out with his family. I will share the things I did get.

Since I had a few videos on my phone, I wanted to include a couple just for the memories. Those are below.

I did post a reel of this weekend on my Instagram if you wanted to experience this from a different perspective. It is attached next.
