Nashville trip and pumpkin carving 2025
Welcome to another Nashville trip! This one I was able to spend 6 days in the city. It was so nice getting time to relax and catch up with the family. Here’s what we got up too.
Based on my work schedule, I knew October would be the perfect time to go visit the family and have some relaxation. This year has been full of many trials, tribulations, and long work hours. I knew I would need a reset before the holiday season. I got to spend 6 days in Nashville. It was a secret trip. I did not tell anyone I was coming mostly because I was tired. I knew I would be sleeping most of the time. While I was there, I did do two things.
First, I happened to come the weekend of the Breast Cancer Awareness walk downtown Nashville. When Mom asked if I wanted to join at 6am on Saturday, I figured why not. It was at the baseball stadium downtown. We met up with my Mom’s friends from the YMCA. Also, we saw some church people on the walk as well. They had some booths on the field, so we were able to get a few goodies before we started. The weather was perfect and the walk was not too long. I always love doing these walks. My family have done them in both Tennessee and West Virginia since I was little. I always try to make it to one whenever I can.
Of course, I asked my Dad if he could grill for me. As much as I love Colorado, the food is not the same. When I go home, I need some of my Dad’s food. Luckily, he agreed to make all of my favorites. I was able to go pick up my Grandmom. She spent the day with us. A few of Mom and Dad’s friends came over throughout the day. Right before I was about to leave to go pick up my Grandmom, Mom had the great idea to carve pumpkins. After I picked up Gram, we headed to Kroger to get 2 pumpkins. Kelsey had to head back to school that morning and Grandmom did not want to carve one. It was just Mom and I this year. As you may know, I love carving pumpkins. We have always done this every year since I was a kid. We go all out. Mom bought us the fancy carving kits and everything. Dad set up the porch for us and we were on our way. This year, I decided to do Eeyore and Mom did Tigger. Check out how we did below.
I did post a reel of this trip on my Instagram if you wanted to see a video version. That is next.
Thank you so much for checking out my post! Let me know in the comments below if you ever carve pumpkins. If so, what is your favorite design that you have done. I hope you are having an incredible day. I will see you soon with something new!
